Students studying German in grades 7 through 11 attend the annual "Sprachfest" language festival, sponsored by the Long Island chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German. Competitions include musical and theatrical performances, poetry recitations, spelling and vocabulary bees and the challenging culture bowl. The event gives students of German the opportunity to share their knowledge and to meet other students learning German.
