Students view, describe and discuss all kinds of moving things---themselves, insects, birds, trees, doors, rain, swings, and wagons— raising questions. Students gain varied experiences in getting to move or not move and in changing the direction and speed of things that are already in motion. Students experience music which provides an opportunity to introduce vibrations as a phenomenon rather than a theory. With instruments (lyre, harp, chimes and xylophone) and their own voices, they can feel the vibrations on the instruments as they hear the sound. They are hearing real music and real human beings really develops a musical quality that cannot be replicated with mechanical devices.
