Summer in the Garden

Summer in the garden is bursting with harvests and color. The Waldorf School summer campers have been harvesting, planting and cooking. Our favorite is kale chips. We found that kale with olive oil and a bit of salt is delicious. Packing in the nutrients, it also prevents sickness. We are also getting ready for the massive garlic, shallot and leek harvest - which can dry in our new greenhouse so our cafeteria will have plenty of organic garlic for the upcoming school year. Included in these pictures are also some of end-of-the-school-year pics from gardening classes.
