Please remember that all student-athletes must submit the School Medical Form (both sides completed and signed by a health care provider and parent) and the Athletic Health History Form (to be completed by a parent) before Thursday, August 28th. Please complete and mail these forms as soon as possible. Only those athletes who have been cleared by the School Nurse will be allowed to participate in pre-season training. Completed forms can be mailed to:

The Waldorf School of Garden City
225 Cambridge Avenue
Garden City, NY  11530
Attn: Mrs. Cathy Gorman, School Nurse

Please be advised that Mrs. Gorman will only be available to clear and approve medical and athletic forms on:

  • Monday, August 25th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am (just before the Glen Brook bus departs for the High School Orientation trip).
  • Tuesday, August 26th at 9:30 am to 10:00 am.

Should you have any immediate questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Gorman at (516) 742-3434, ext. 324.

The coaching staff cannot allow any student-athlete to participate in any pre-season training unless he/she has been signed-off by the School nurse. Also, be advised that a student-athlete cannot represent our School unless he/she meets the required number of training dates. Failure to do so may jeopardize his/her consideration for a final roster spot.

Game schedules will be up on the School's website in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Thank you for your cooperation and for your continued support of the athletics program at the Waldorf School of Garden City.

Sincerely,

Shane Flanagan

CAMPUS LIFE

We want students to meet exciting people, try something different, discover something about themselves, and see the world from a new perspective; put simply we want students to learn.

PARENTS

There is an inviting atmosphere throughout our school created by happy children, engaged families, and dedicated teachers. As a parent—the opportunity to self-select your child’s peer group, one which is aligned with your family’s values and outlook on the world, is amongst the most important educational decisions you can make.

GREEN & ACTIVE

We provide unparalleled opportunities for children, by immersing them in our working farm, outdoor adventures and a community of adults who respect the natural world.

ACADEMICS

We take the best of classical education and make it relevant by intertwining the arts with academics, resulting in a synergistic experience that creates deeper meaning. No other form of education provides for an academic experience this enriching, authentic and joyful.

ADMISSIONS

We provide opportunities for children to be challenged while creating an environment that allows them to be healthy, satisfied, and productive community members.

THE BASICS

Our school includes a 200-acre farm campus, organic gardens, and a community that values well-balanced children.
