Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

An avid artist, Kelly earned a bachelor's in fine art and art history from Bowdoin College with a specialization in painting and photography. Prior to becoming a Waldorf teacher, Kelly lived in The Netherlands for three years, helping to renovate a 100 year-old "workman's rowhouse." She then pursued a professional career in art education and decorative painting. In 2007, she completed her master's in Waldorf elementary education from Antioch University New England. She is a certified New York State art teacher and has a great love for handwork. In her spare time, she makes and sells hand-knitted animals and dolls at fairs and community events. Kelly continues to paint during the summers and exhibits regularly in Garden City and Montauk, NY.
