Monica is an Early Childhood Specialist and Parent Educator offering professional training to local day-cares through the Educational Incentive Program of the State of New York. She also offers family support and one-on-one coaching to many parents. She received her master's in early childhood education with Waldorf certification from Antioch University New England and has completed coursework on Birth-Three with Sophia's Hearth Family Center in Keene, N.H. Before coming to the Waldorf School of Garden City, Monica was a social worker in Brooklyn, taught interpersonal skills to medical students, and assisted in the kindergarten at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School. A native of Ecuador, Monica has traveled the Andean countries extensively.
