Jeff earned his bachelor's degree in fine arts from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. With the handwork skills he honed over the years and his aptitude as a dressmaker, Jeff became a designer for the high-end women's clothing designer, Laura Shepherd, Haute Couture. In 2003, he joined the army reserves and was deployed to Afghanistan. A sergeant in the 82nd Airborne, he participated in various humanitarian aid missions, bringing food and medical supplies to villages in the areas around Kandihar. Two years later, Jeff earned his master's in elementary Waldorf education from Sunbridge College. Jeff's handwork skills include knitting, crocheting, bobbin lace making, felting, weaving, devore, dyeing, embroidery, silk-screening, papermaking, and book binding.
