Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

Marjorie P. Jean-Paul brings ten years of consulting experience that focused primarily on planning, management and major gift fundraising for a range of nonprofit organizations. She was introduced to the Waldorf School of Garden City, and Waldorf education, in 2004 when she helped conduct the School's first ever comprehensive Capital Campaign as a member of the consulting team from Changing our World, Inc. Since then, she has worked on a few major fundraising initiatives for Waldorf schools, including capital campaigns for Camphill Special School and the Shepherd Valley Waldorf School. In addition to her volunteer work on the Executive Committee of the American Friends Service Committee, Marjorie also served as a member of the Haitian American Community Dialogue, a group which focuses on democracy and economic development in Haiti.  Marjorie earned a master's degree in management and urban policy from The New School for Social Research, Milano Graduate School and an undergraduate degree in human development and family studies from Cornell University.
