Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

Coach Info
Title(s) Middle School Math Teacher, Coach
Department(s) Middle School

Deann Reyes teaches math in grades 6 through 8. Born in Lafayette, Indiana where her father was a Marine, Deann moved around a bit as a young girl and even lived in Okinawa, Japan for a few years. She finally ended up in Arizona and later went on to get her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Studies with an emphasis in mathematics from Arizona State University. Inspired by her father (who had a second career as a math teacher), Deann followed in his footsteps and became a math teacher. She taught and tutored math for several years at both the middle and high school levels in Arizona and in Florida. When she’s not in the classroom, Deann also enjoys coaching softball and soccer. “I look forward to cheering-on Waldorf’s athletic teams from the sidelines!”
