Athletics at the Waldorf School of Garden City is a unique part of our school community. Our games are spirited and competitive but most importantly, everyone involved contributes to their overall enjoyment. These games reflect our community's respect and admiration for our student-athletes - who commit their time and energy along with lots of heart and spirit. Their hard work pays off.

Throughout the school’s history, athletic teams have achieved numerous league championships, while also exhibiting teamwork and sportsmanship at the highest levels. As students enter middle school and high school, they have the opportunity to participate in after-school athletic teams - seasonal options of soccer, basketball, softball and baseball. Our athletic philosophy emphasizes teamwork, good sportsmanship and skill development, rather than winning at all costs. At the Waldorf School of Garden City, you don’t have to be a superstar to get playing time. And our students are not forced to abandon other interests in order to play sports. The quality of athletic teams at the school is consistently strong.
