Waldorf's "JV" Boys Basketball Team returned to action on Tuesday, December 11th, when they travelled to Wellington C. Mepham High School in Bellmore. The team, who were short handed due to class trips and illness, played against a well organized and competitive Mepham High School team.
While Waldorf did not finish the game on top, some positives could be taken from it. Freshmen William Strauss netted four 3-pointers (a career high) and George Ouellette along with Max Sapuppo showed great leadership and determination on the court. Freshman Okheem Schneider had his first start for Waldorf. Freshman Gerrard Burnett and sophomore Justin Xu made some significant playing time as well. Freshman Owen Magee also played convincingly in the game (despite having a high fever).
"It was a hard fought game," said Coach Flanagan, "Coach Boyd and I hope the players gained some valuable experience!"
