In by far their best all around game of the season, Waldorf's Varsity Boys Baseball Team lost by the score of 04-06 against a very strong baseball team from Lawrence Woodmere Academy on Wednesday, May 1st. Remarked Coach Hughes, "We faced a very good Lawrence Woodmere team who had a host of seniors that included a starting pitcher with 5 years of varsity experience." But Waldorf battled to the end and left the tying runs on base in the 7th inning. Freshman pitcher Aaron Clarke started and battled into the 4th inning when classmate William Strauss relieved him and finished out the contest, not allowing any runs. Strauss also had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 2 runs. Senior Cody Bach continued his strong hitting with 2 hits and 2 runs scored, while Clarke tripled and sophomore Max Sapuppo had 2 more hits.
