What a well played game by Waldorf's Middle School Boys Baseball Team against St. Peter of Alcantara School! With St. Peter leading 1-0 at the bottom of the second, 8th grader Lorenzo Davies walked and then stole second. With one out and Davies on second, Junkil lined a single to right center field scoring Davies which tied the game at 1.
The game stayed tied until the bottom of the sixth when 8th grader Jack Wozniak hit a single. He stole second and on his attempt to steal third, the catcher from St. Peter's made a wild throw which allowed Wozniak to score. But that wasn't all! At the top of the seventh inning and with one out, St. Peter's loaded the bases. With a cool and calm demeanor, 7th grader Isaac Stumme struck out the last two batters - thus cementing Waldorf's win and giving Stumme 13 strikeouts for the game.
