Varsity Boys Soccer vs. Lawrence Woodmere Academy
Event Type: Regular (League event)
Date: October 16, 2013
Event Recap:

On Wednesday, October 16th, Waldorf's Varsity Boys Soccer Team played a home game against one of the top ranked team in their division. What was supposed to be a close nail biter turned out to be Waldorf's best game of the season as they beat Lawrence Woodmere Academy 04-00.

Junior Deepjot Singh Sohal got Waldorf off to a great start when he drilled a 40 yard free kick right into the goalkeeper who simply could not handle the power of the shot. This goal was scored only 10 minutes into the game and sent Waldorf off to the best possible start. The next goal came from senior TJ Bohm. He quickly reacted off a Singh Sohal free kick and slotted home the rebound. This put Waldorf up 02-00 and it stayed that way until half time.

Next half, Waldorf came out flying once again. The third goal started from another Singh Sohal free kick when he floated a ball into the box where junior Sheppard Somers was waiting to flick the ball into the back of the net with the top of his head. The last and fourth goal of the game again cam from Singh Sohal's free kick.

"This game was a fantastic display of what the varsity boys have in their ability!" said Coach Shane Flanagan.
