After a big 03-00 win over Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Waldorf's Middle School Girls Soccer Team came out ready to play! In the first half, we had our first goal scored by Conchetta Bohm (7th grade). St. Mary's pressured back with a few attempted shots on goal but goalie Priscilla Cardenas (8th grade) did not let any goals sneak passed her. Defense was held strong by 8th graders Ardo Ali, Cailyn Hobbs, Luna Splendori and 7th grader Amanda Sorensen. Late in the first half, Bohm took a direct kick from outside the 18 yard box and placed it nicely over the goalie's head and into the back of the net!
St. Mary's came out strong in the second half by scoring a goal against Waldorf. With a score of 02-01, Waldorf fought strong. Midfielders Abby Picoli (8th grade) and Gilee Herschco (7th grade) worked really hard and had a lot of nice feeds to fowards Rachel Rosenstein (8th grade) and Bohm. The ladies played a fantastic game and finished the game off by scoring a goal on a corner kick. Bohm placed the corner kick in the middle of the box and Fiona Somers (7th grade) was there to place it in the back of the net.
