Ways to Give
The Waldorf School of Garden City gratefully accepts contributions by MasterCard, Visa, and American Express, as well as personal checks and gifts of securities. For more information, please contact the Office of Development at 516-742-3434 ext. 309.
Also note that many employers will match your contribution. Simply submit a matching gift form (usually available from your Human Resources department) with your gift and the Office of Development will handle the processing. You will be recognized for the value of your gift plus any company match received.
Gift of time and talent
Volunteer opportunities abound for parents, alumni, and friends of the School - and we are grateful for all donations of time and talent. Please contact Marjorie P. Jean-Paul, Director of Development at firstname.lastname@example.org or 516-742-3434 ext. 124.
Planned Giving is an ideal way to make a significant gift to the School, especially for individuals without disposable income. A planned gift helps to ensure that future generations of children receive a Waldorf education while establishing a legacy for yourself or a loved one at the School. Planned giving can take many forms, including:
- Outright bequests for case or property designated for the Waldorf School of Garden City in your will
- Creating a Charitable Remainder Trust for the Waldorf School of Garden City
- Making gifts of Life Insurance Policies
- Transferring Retirement Plan Assets to the Waldorf School of Garden City.
One or more of these planned giving options can be used to support a gift fund at the School to fund a specific program, activity or to create an endowed scholarship. A planned gift may also significantly reduce the size of your taxable estate, thus lowering your estate tax liability.
