Financial Aid

The Waldorf School of Garden City is committed to making our education affordable for all deserving students. To that end, our tuition assistance program is based on family's demonstrated need and completely independent of our admissions process. Last year, aid was awarded to approximately 20% of our student body.

We are accreditated by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.

Our athletic facilities include four playgrounds and an all-weather track in addition to multi-purpose outdoor and indoor athletic fields for our basketball, soccer, and softball teams. Students have the option of several different middle school and varsity sports. Our soccer and basketball teams were recently crowned IPPSAL champions.

Our arts facilities include studios for fine arts, textiles, and woodworking. The Waldorf School of Garden City is also home to an auditorium and practice rooms for music and drama performances. Our arts curriculum includes classes in musical instruments, studio art, fiber art, and woodworking, as well as participation in the chorus and orchestra.

Our main campus in Garden City includes over 30 classrooms in addition to a 15,000 volume library, athletic facilities, and a quarter-acre garden. Camp Glen Brook, our extension campus in New Hampshire, is a 250-acre farm that hosts our classes for weekly trips every year as well as furnishes supplies for our arts program.
