Waldorf's Varsity Girls Basketball Team improved their IPPSAL record to 05–01 and their overall record to 06-02 with a strong 58–15 win over Lexington School for the Deaf on Monday, January 7th.

"Every player saw significant playing time," said Coach LeSueu. "The team demonstrated excellent passing and decision making."

Leading scorer for Waldorf was co-captain and senior Isabella Fraim who scored 16 points. Two of the teams non-starters scored their career highs with 10 points apiece. Senior guard Katarina D’Ercole used her speed and agility to find the open spaces down court and attacked the basket for quality lay-ups. Sophomore Emma Wallace scored her 10 points with some well taken outside shots.

Veteran players senior co-captain Carolyn Smalls and junior center Ajanai Miller-Randolph chipped-in with 6 points each. Both players played exceptional defense, controlling the boards and setting-up the offense. Junior starting guard Jaclyn Proctor continues to be the team's assist leader, getting the ball inside with quality passing. Sophomore Mikayla Ver Pault did not score any points but her defensive rebounding and all-around game performance has her playing in the starting rotation.

Rounding out the scoring were freshmen Teagan Novick with four points and Skyla Davis with two points. Freshman Maria Golebiewski impressed the coaching staff with her off–ball movement and passing skills and sophomore Nicole Tsai (2 points) has become more aggressive on the defensive end of the court.
