Summer at the Waldorf School is a day camp for boys and girls ages 3-13. Offering both half and full day programs, flexible scheduling, a variety of quality activities and special events led by dedicated and talented counselors — our program creates an atmosphere of lively, yet relaxed, summer fun!
The full-day program (ages 4-13, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm) includes a wide variety of activities designed to engage the interest and enthusiasm of children from preschool to teen. In addition to activities led by their lead counselors, campers participate in tennis, arts & crafts, painting, yoga, music, sports & games, cooking, gardening, drama, swimming, and outdoor water play. Special events include; Tie-Dye Week, Carnival Week and “Summertime Stars” talent show. Campers bring lunch from home each day, and the camp provides a mid-morning snack.
The half-day program (ages 3-5, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm or 9:00 am to 11:45 am) offers a rich play experience for the youngest campers. Activities include outdoor free play in our preschool yards, watercolor painting, seasonal crafts, singing, cooking, yoga, story-telling, rhymes, verses and puppetry. Juice and a healthy mid-morning snack are provided. Four- and five-year-old campers also participate in our swimming program.
An important feature of our program is the flexible scheduling option. While we encourage all our campers to take advantage of the full 6-week program, we recognize that family vacations and other activities may conflict with camp. Parents can create a part-time schedule which suits their family needs with tuition on a pro-rated basis. Please note that a minimum of 19 days enrollment is required for all campers.
