Varsity Boys Baseball vs. Friends Seminary
Event Type: Regular (League event)
Advantage:Away
Date: April 22, 2014
Result:Loss
Score:04-14
Event Recap:

Waldorf's Varsity Boys Baseball Team traveled to Red Hook, Brooklyn on Tuesday, April 22, to play against Friends Seminary. Unfortunately, Waldorf lost by score of 04-14. Good efforts were turned in by some, including sophomore Sage Choi who had a hit and an RBI, sophomore Emanuel Spitalny who had a double, and freshman Peter Le Porin who had a double, run scored and an RBI. The game ended with one of the finest fielding plays when senior Sam Resnick retrieved a well hit ball to deep left center field, relayed it to sophomore William Strauss, who then fired a strike to Choi, at home, nailing the Friends base-runner. Finding a positive from a negative loss is difficult; however, this play shows what the team is capable of as the season progresses.
