5th Grade Visits Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Museum

On Friday, October 24th the 5th Graders visited The Brooklyn Botanic Garden and The Brooklyn Museum. The trip inspired us in both areas of our studies thus far this year; botany and ancient civilizations.

A foot bridge led us over a pond filled with fan-shaped leaves of the “living fossil” and we sketched pictures of pharaohs and deciphered hieroglyphs while listening to ancient iTunes! This trip would not be possible without the kind support of parents and teachers such as Maria Ver Eecke, Adrienne Nagy, Lisa Horowitz Gibeau, Marlena Seminario, and Galit Hershco.
