The 6th grade German class has begun the school year learning a poem about the power of words “Des Wortes Gewalt” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe which we recite together at every beginning of class. By now, the students are able to recite it from memory and with meaning.
We also have explored the rooms and spaces of our school, being able to give a tour of the grounds in German. In conjunction with this topic, the students also have learned verbs in order to describe which activity is done in those spaces or rooms.
A song about riding a horse took us galloping over sticks and stones, practicing pronunciation at a rapid tempo! Well done 6th grade!!!
