7th Grade: Making Fresh Raspberry Jam

The 7th grade gardening class harvested the ripe raspberries from our gardens and learned how to make raspberry jam from the crushed fruit. We discovered that it is not necessary to add large amounts of sugar to make jam, which is what traditional recipes call for. The fruit is naturally sweet, and how sweet it was for us to taste the delicious jam! I hope some made it home for your morning toast.
