On Wednesday, November 16th, 11 eighth grade students and Waldorf’s Gardening Teacher Mrs. Jeannine Davis brought a beautiful array of freshly harvested organic food from the School’s garden to the Mary Brennan Inn Food Kitchen and Homeless Shelter in Hemsptead, N.Y. In total, 24 heads of escarole, leeks, radishes, kale, collard greens, red leaf lettuce, and fresh herbs were donated. The students were welcomed by the food kitchen manager and were given a tour of the facility.
