8th Grade Students visit Point Lookout Energy Park

A group of 8th grade students visited the Point Lookout Energy Park on Friday, May 20th as part of their study of renewable energy with Ms. Jeannine Davis, Waldorf’s gardening and horticulture teacher.

“We had an incredible time,” said Ms. Davis. “The students went inside the wind turbine, looked at new, cutting-edge technology in solar panels, and learned how water is separated into hydrogen and oxygen in order to fuel cars. We also learned about electric cars, geothermal energy, and shellfish farming. The students asked great questions!”
