Introduction to Mixed-Age Kindergarten

As you anticipate your child’s transition into the Mixed-Age Kindergarten, we invite you to come and find out what to expect for next year. Keelah Helwig will present an overview of the Kindergarten program and guide you through a visit of all three classes. You will learn how the nature of play changes as children turn 5 and 6, how circle times shift subtly to challenge the children’s developing physical dexterity and mental agility, and how elements like foreign language, handwork are eurythmy are integrated.
