Kammermusik Performance: Diversity of Rhythm

Kammermusik presents a World Music Concert (composer, Derrik Jordan and others). Listen to exotic sounds from out of this world. Our special guests include Derrik Jordan, world music composer/electric violinist and Yixing Wu (Ylesia) from the 8th grade of the Waldorf School of Garden City singing an excerpt from a Peking opera. The other pieces are from Uzbekistan, West Africa (composed by Derrik Jordan), and Macedomia. We will also be assisted by Dr. Kageki Nagao, bassist, who helped greatly with the beginning of Kammermusik, twelve thirteen years ago. Additionally two students from LIU are participating playing violin and mandolin.
