On Monday, June 6th the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades will gather on the playing field for PLAY DAY, our end of the year field day. We will combine the grades into four color groups and play water games, relays and running games.

On Friday, June 3rd, children in these grades will bring home an information sheet with their color groups. Please help your child to dress in this color for MONDAY, June 6th. Each group has a mixture of students from each grade as well as two seventh graders who will help with the event.

The color groups are in themes:

• Blue/Green Group
• Pink/Purple Group
• White/Yellow Group
• Red/Orange Group

If your child has nothing in a his/her color, please do not worry. Your child can wear white or something with a hint of the intended color. The main focus is for all the children to be comfortable and enjoy the company of their schoolmates. The dress code will be relaxed for the day; shirts with collars are not needed.

Third grade parents/guardians: Please consider helping with the watermelon preparation that closes the Play Day celebration. Ms. Fitzgerald needs 2-3 willing parents to prep the watermelon. Helpers are needed at approximately 1:00pm to cut the watermelons. They will be served to the students at around 2:40pm. Please contact Ms. Fitzgerald if you can volunteer to help with our refreshments.
