An extremely passionate Waldorf squad opened the season with a narrow 12-9 loss to Portledge.  David Kissin and Schechter transfer Noah Balsam each pitched 3 innings, striking out a total of 9 and only allowing 2 hits.  Kissin reached base in all 4 of his at bats.  Luke Cleary scored 3 runs, while Anthony Deus walked 3 times and scored a run.  Outstanding defensive plays were turned in by Joshua Wang, twice, in right field, while both Aaron Bertoni and Colin Li did the same while splitting time at second base.
