Varsity Boys Basketball Game – Away

Waldorf boys Varsity basketball defeated The Avenues World School in a very close game. Waldorf was able to gain control late in the game off of a pass from Junior Will Clauss to Junior Wing Mike Reed for a layup that put Waldorf up 57-56 with 30 seconds to go. Senior Peter LePorin was fouled on the next possession placing him on the line and he was able to sink both shots. Waldorf was up 59-56.
With 10 seconds left in the game Waldorf tightened up the defense and Avenues was not able to get a shot off. This was a great comeback after Waldorf had trailed the majority of the game. Junior Issac Stumme led the offensive charge with 23 points, Junior Will Clauss followed with 20 points, Junior Forward Mike Reed chipped in 6points, 6 rebounds and 5 assist, Aidan Koubel had 5 points, Sophomore Simon Davis had 3 points and Senior Peter Leporin finished with 6points, 2 of which were clutch free-throws he also grabbed 7 rebounds.
Waldorf is 1-3 in the PSAA Conference and 2-3 overall.
