Varsity Boys Soccer Game, Home

The Waldorf boys varsity soccer team played host to St Demetrious this afternoon and it was a battle throughout. St Demetrious came out fighting and Waldorf knew they would have to keep their composure as well as their shape and formation if they were to wear down this aggressive team.
It was after 8 minutes that Senior Eric Mundy found the back of the net after he slotted home a great shot off a Junior Erik Beauvais though ball. This did not slow St. Demetrious as they kept pressuring and kept the Waldorf defense on their toes.
Just 5 minutes before half time Freshman Luka Albano made a great run down the right wing and found Senior Max Pascucci with a great cross that he clinically put away past the goalie.
Again, St Demetrious were not giving up and just 5 minutes into the second half they brought the score to 2-1 as a penalty was rewarded to them which their captain scored confidently.
The battle continued with Waldorf keeping most possession and staying strong to their game plan.
It was in the final few minutes of the game that Junior Erik Beauvais put the game to rest as a 30 yard run ended with him one on one with the keeper, who he keenly beat at the front post.
Waldorf return to action on Monday 9/26 as they travel to Portledge.
