Varsity Boys Soccer Game, Home

The Waldorf Boys Soccer team improved their record to 2-1 this afternoon as they defeated The Knox School 8-1. It was Senior Chris Hobert who scored first for Waldorf after he struck on the half-volley a pass from Junior Aidan Koubel.
Next it was Junior Erik Beauvais who scored after a lovely through ball from Freshman Luka Albano.
Then it was Senior Eric Mundy’s turn to get on the goal sheet as he slotted home a left footed shot from a Junior Aidan Koubel pass.
Waldorf’s 4th goal came from Will Clauss who scored off a cleared corner kick.
Freshman Luka Albano scored the last goal before half time as he collected the ball in midfield, dribbled through 3 defenders and slotted the ball keenly past the Knox goalie.
In the 41st minute of the game, only 1 minute into the second half, Senior Beau Cheney got Waldorf’s 6th goal as the dribbled along the left wing and shot at the near post that sneakily beat the goalie.
Goal number 7 came from Junior Isaac Stumme as the made the most of some bad defending and blasted the ball into the back of the net.
Right at the last whistle, Senior Chris Hobert capitalized on a great pass from Junior Isaac Stumme to end the game.
Waldorf wins 8-1.
Waldorf return to action this Friday when they travel to Riker’s Island to play St. Demetrious School at 430pm.
