Varsity Girls Softball Double Header – AWAY

Waldorf @ LWA – Game 1
Waldorf win 8-7
Game one of our double header V Lawrence Woodmere Academy was a nail biter to say the least. Having been down 6-1 after the second inning the Waldorf girls rallied and scored 4 runs in the 3rd, 2 runs in the 4th and 1 run in the 5th. These combined 8 runs were just about enough for Waldorf to take the win over LWA who only managed to score 7 runs. Freshman and starting pitcher Molly Resnick was amazing on the mound and at the plate as she struck out 6 batters and went 3 for 3 scoring 2 runs to help Waldorf take the win. Classmate Aimee Gallagher also made a great contribution with her two hits and two runs.

LWA @ Waldorf – Game 2
Waldorf win 7-6
The second game of our double header was just as tight as the first but thankfully Waldorf was able to hold off the LWA girls and take a 7-6 win. Waldorf hit and scored consistently throughout the 5 inning game earning 10 hits and 7 runs. Junior Kate Keane went 3 for 3 at the plate and Freshman Mollie Resnick struck out 3 batters and went 2 for 2 at bat, scoring 1 run. Kate Keane scored 3 runs for Waldorf, while her sister Emma Keane scored 1 run and went 1 for 3 at bat. Waldorf are delighted to take their record to 3-0 before heading into what is sure to be a very difficult game against The Knox School on Monday.
