Alexios Kritas

High School English & High School Co-Advisor

A Long Island native and alum of the class of 1985, Alexios Kritas holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Williams College and a Master’s in Education from Harvard University with a focus on language and literacy. He is a graduate of the Winkler Center for Adult Learning Foundation Studies Program in addition to obtaining his Waldorf High School Teaching Certificate at the Center for Anthroposophy.

Prior to his arrival at the Waldorf School, Alexi served for two years in the Peace Corps teaching English in Botswana. He also worked at the Enrico Fermi Learning Laboratory in Brooklyn as a 7th and 8th-grade teacher, and as a High School English teacher at the St. Demetrios Greek-American School.

In his spare time, Alexi enjoys songwriting and playing the guitar. He once ice-climbed the Central Gully Route up Huntington’s Ravine on Mount Washington.
