Amy Singh

1st Grade Teacher

A Long Island native, Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of Scranton. She later received a Master of Science in Education specializing in Therapeutic Recreation from Lehman College, CUNY.  Amy completed the Foundations Studies program through the Winkler Center. She is currently enrolled in the Grades 1-8 Waldorf teacher training at Sunbridge Institute.

While earning her Master’s degree, Amy worked as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist serving various marginalized populations in a Skilled Nursing Facility in East Harlem.

Amy most recently worked in an Ed-tech startup, providing outdoor education for ages 18 months to 8 years old. During this time, she mentored educators across the country and worked as a teacher trainer. Amy also worked in a non-profit organic farm, providing farm education for families and local schools.

Last year, Amy served as our Early Childhood Aftercare Coordinator. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to now work in the Lower School and facilitate a deep love for the earth within the children

In her spare time, Amy loves to dance, cook, spend time with family, and foster dogs!
