Amy Stemkoski

Middle School Math, Science, and 8th Grade ELA

A graduate of Harvard University and the Winkler Center’s Foundation Studies Program, Amy Stemkoski teaches middle school science as well as biology in the 9th grade. At Harvard, Amy concentrated in History and Science – a course of study that combined the pursuit of modern scientific knowledge with the study of the interrelationship between science and culture throughout human history.

In her science classes and main lessons at Waldorf, students not only learn analytical and technical skills, but also consider the cultural implications and historical context of the scientific developments studied. Prior to joining our School, Amy worked in the School of Nursing at Adelphi University.

In her leisure time, Amy enjoys singing, hiking, baking, and knitting.
