A native of Germany, Andrea Schimansky received her Abiture (equivalent of a HS Diploma) from the Gymnasium Zitadelle Julich in Germany. She has also received her Youth Sports Trainer Certificate and Architecture Certification.

Andrea has taught at various afterschool and summer programs across Germany and France throughout her career. Since 1996 she has worked as a Professional Interior Architect in New York City before joining the Waldorf School in 2017.

Andrea is a proud mother of two whom she has taught to speak German. Both speak fluently.
