High School Yearbook Advisor
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Oregon, Kathy Bossuk studied Visual Communications and Psychology at Portland State University. She moved to New York in 1989 and was employed as an Art Director in the advertising and publishing industries for over 10 years before joining The Waldorf School of Garden City in 2004.
She attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and, after starting a family, received her Master’s Degree in Education from Long Island University’s C.W. Post campus. She completed the Winkler Center Foundation Studies Program in 2009. In addition to her Marketing and Communications responsibilities, she is the School’s Yearbook Advisor, creator of the Clubs & Activities Program, former Building Rental Coordinator, and a member of the Diversity Committee and Technology Committee.
On a personal note, Kathy’s two daughters, who both graduated from The Waldorf School, began attending as toddlers in the Parent & Child Program. Kathy was also a certified Bradley Childbirth Educator for many years and gave birth to both of her children at home. She enjoys reading, calligraphy, watercolor painting, and travel.
