Libia Gallo

High School Spanish &
High School Co-Advisor

Born and raised in Colombia, Libia Gallo holds a degree in Fine Arts from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. She also studied Philosophy at The National University in Bogota, Colombia, and received a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish and Culture from the University of Granada in Spain.

Her background includes various teaching assignments such as at the non-profit foundation Rafael Pombo where she worked with children and teachers, and at the Museum of Modern Art in Bogota where she worked as an artistic workshop teacher and guide. Most recently, she taught Spanish in New York City and on Long Island focusing on the use of art and literature to teach writing, reading and conversational skills.

Parent of a Waldorf graduate, Libia enjoys travel, painting, reading, hiking, playing basketball, and yoga.
