Monica Gallardo received her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with Waldorf certification from Antioch University New England and completed Level I: Birth to Three coursework at the Early Childhood Teacher Education Center at Sophia’s Hearth in Keene, N.H.
Monica is an Early Childhood Specialist and Parent Educator, offering professional training to local daycares through the Educational Incentive Program of the State of New York. She also offers family support and one-on-one coaching to many parents. Before coming to the Waldorf School of Garden City in 1999, Monica did social work in Brooklyn, taught interpersonal skills to medical students and assisted in the kindergarten at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School.
A native of Ecuador, Monica has traveled the Andean countries extensively. In her spare time she loves to dance, especially to Salsa and Rock & Roll music.
