Shane Flanagan graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University and also earned a Master’s Degree from Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus.

Throughout his career, Shane has coached and taught at Chickasha High School in Oklahoma, Garden City Middle School, and the Stewart Avenue Elementary School. His academic awards and achievements include the Helen Sedelmeyer Award for Excellence in Student Teaching as well as membership in Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Phi Elison Kappa Honor Society, and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. A certified New York State physical education teacher, Shane brings his wealth of knowledge and passion to the Waldorf’s after-school athletics program.

Fun Fact: Shane completed his intercollegiate soccer career with the C.W. Post’s men’s soccer team – where he was named most valuable player (MVP) during the 2010 East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship.
