Patrick Hankin ‘94

Patrick Hankin ’94 has experience and expertise in many areas as an Interior Designer, Realtor, committed philanthropist, fabulous cook, promoter of extraordinary people, purveyor of fine things, and a world-class shopper.

Patrick’s lifelong passion has been showcasing people and places in their best light. Ever since he was a little kid, he has had an eye for the fabulous. He always loved to shop with his mom and could effortlessly single out the perfect dress for her. He turned his extraordinary sense of style into his interior design business, Delevante Designs, LLC, which specializes in residential design; he has also merged with supporting people in finding their dream homes as a realtor with Julia B Fee Sotheby’s.

However, Patrick’s fast-paced lifestyle goes far beyond his business. With anything he’s connected with, Patrick gets involved in a big way—as a spokesperson, organizer, or rollup your sleeves hard worker. This is especially evident in his lifelong commitment to the nonprofit sector. He led a project to build a playground at a home in Brooklyn for teenage mothers and their children. In other philanthropic endeavors, he has been a difference-maker as a special event planner, silent auction organizer, fundraiser, and volunteer for programs and organizations such as Take Higher Ground, Colony House, GLAAD, Clay Arts Center, and The ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).

Patrick loves to be out front with a voice that fills any room and a larger than life personality. Once upon a time, he was an actor, singer, and soloist. Today he leverages his gift of gab and charisma as an enthusiastic presenter and emcee for special events, auctions, and workshops. Patrick is actively involved in motivating others to achieve remarkable results as a leadership coach for Momentum Education. Before interior design and real estate, Patrick was a salon manager and product buyer, a sales associate for various specialty retailers, caterers, and even a used car salesman and office manager for a family friend’s Auto Body Shop.

Patrick enjoys an active family and social life and finds relaxation in his hobbies—entertaining, exploring old mansions, Broadway Theater, and travel. He attended The Waldorf School of Garden City from grade 6-12.
