Simran (Sim) Singh ‘07

Simran (Sim) Singh ’07 attended St. John’s University, where he graduated with a BA in Finance. Upon graduating, he began to learn more about jobs in Digital Media and how one could apply problem-solving skills from majors like Finance. He went on to have roles at Major League Baseball, Tremor Video (an ad-tech platform), and Roku, with roles covering Business strategy, operations, and monetization. Currently, he works at Facebook as a Partnerships Lead on the Ecosystem Development team focused on Creative partnerships.

In his current role, Simran advises and brings on new startups as Facebook/Instagram partners. He guides them on new opportunities to innovate and build offerings to solve their largest user and brand needs. These partners have built technology to provide efficiency at scale for specific verticals, creator/influencers, all the way down to the smallest brick and mortar businesses building their online offering through the Facebook family of apps. Some categories include platforms to help automate digital advertising globally, immersive builder software for augmented reality, 3D, interactive, creator/influencer marketing workflow tools, creative insights tools, and cost-effective apps for small businesses to generate their digital storefront.

Many startups rely on Simran’s guidance and feedback on what to build next and how to serve their customers best. Simran takes a lot of pride in his role helping startups discover new opportunities, generate new revenue streams, raise funding, and create jobs. Over the years, Simran has built relationships and friendships with several C suites advising them on where to take their business next and even several M&A conversations. He is always thinking of bold ideas for his partners and learning from the ecosystems he serves.

When he is not helping or finding new startups, Simran can be found in NYC trying different restaurants weekly and avidly playing & watching tennis with friends.

Sim graduated from The Waldorf School of Garden City in 2007.
