Middle School Boys Soccer vs. The Portledge School

Another solid win by the Middle School Boys Soccer Team improved their record to 04-00 on the season. The boys played host to The Portledge School and came out with a convincing 07-00 win.

There were many highlights of the game; however it was newcomer and 8th grader Jun Kil Seong who stole the show. Jun Kil scored 3 of Waldorf’s 7 goals and received the “Man of the Match” award for his hat-trick. He weaved his way through the Portledge defense and clinically finished twice. His third goal came from a free kick 25 yards out from the goal, which he drilled into the top right corner.

Waldorf led the game 5-0 at half time with other goals scored by 8th grader Max Pascucci and and 7th grader Boris Epie. This was Epie’s first goal for the season and Coach Flanagan was delighted to see his hard work pay off.

The final two goals of the game were scored by 7th grader Maurico Paz and 8th grader Jack Wozniak. These goals were also both players’ first goals of the season.

As a team, the Waldorf boys looked very well organized and passed the ball well, while communicating and working together.
