The Waldorf School of Garden City is proud to announce that senior Meghan Temple was named a Commended Student in the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program.

“We are very proud of Meghan’s outstanding academic achievements,” said High School Chairman Roland Rothenbucher. “She has demonstrated an enduring passion for learning which will serve her and others well wherever life leads her.”

Meghan’s favorite courses include chemistry and Russian literature and she is very involved with the high school stage crew club. Outside of school, she has sung with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra’s Youth Chorale for several years, takes Japanese language lessons, does origami and enjoys tap dancing.
