Nerissa Holder Hall ’97 joins the Board of Trustees

holder_nerissabwOn Wednesday, November 30th new board member, alumna and former teacher, Nerissa Holder Hall ’97 visited the Waldorf School of Garden City for a tour and to meet with Administration and faculty.

During her time at Waldorf, Nerissa was a member of the Orchestra, Madrigals, Vox, Mock Trial, and the Waldorf Ambassadors. Nerissa has spent the last decade working in children’s media. She got her start working on three hit TV properties at Nickelodeon, Go, Diego, Go, Dora the Explorer and Team Umizoomi. In 2012, Nerissa successfully launched a social network for teen girls called CleverHive. Prior to that, she was a producer and director of outreach and marketing at Callaway Digital Arts, a leading children’s mobile app developer. A proud graduate of the Waldorf School of Garden City, Nerissa attended Wellesley College where she earned her bachelor’s in English. Between 2003 and 2004, she taught high school English at our School before pursuing a master’s in communications and education from the Teachers College of Columbia University.
