2014 Fall Fair & Alumni Day

Alumni and their families are encouraged to participate in the following activities during the Fall Fair. (So we have an accurate headcount, please complete the RSVP form below.

Free Continental Breakfast

Date: Saturday, October 18th
Time: Begins at 9:00 am
Location: High School Student Room

Open to all alumni (graduates and non-graduates) and alumni parents.

Alumni Sing-Along

Date: Saturday, October 18th
Time: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
Location: High School Student Room

"Swinging Along", "Every Time I Feel de Spirit", "Play For Me A Simple Melody", "The Keeper", "Green Grow the Rushes" ... These are just some of the songs Waldorf alumni and their parents will remember from countless assemblies, festivals and school events. Join us around the piano as we sing these songs and relive some fond music memories at the Alumni Sing-Along. Everyone - alumni, families of alumni and current Waldorf families too -  are all welcome to attend!

Varsity Girls Soccer Game

Date: Saturday, October 18th
Time: Begins at 12:00 pm
Location: Laszlo Jurak Athletic Field

Athletic Director Shane Flanagan and Varsity Girls Soccer Coach Kim Wyant are calling all the women soccer players back to Waldorf for a fun soccer game with mixed teams of alumnae and varsity girls soccer players. (Due to unforseen circumstances, the Varsity Girls vs. Avenues School game had to be cancelled.) Warm-up will take place on the Laszlo Jurak Athletic Field at 11:30 am. Alumni Odds vs. Evens Soccer Game*

Date: Saturday, October 18th
Time: Begins at 1:30 pm
Location: Laszlo Jurak Athletic Field
(Warm-up begins at 12:30 PM on the North Athletic Field)

Former Athletic Directors Paul LeSueur, Gordon Purdie and Laszlo Jurak are calling all their players back. All alumni are encouraged to play. The mens' soccer teams will be comprised of odd vs. even graduating years. The game is open to alumni who graduated from or attended the Waldorf School of Garden City and teams will be determined based on your graduating year.

*The Women's and Men's Soccer Games are a special part of the Fall Fair/Alumni Day festivities and we always have an amazing turn-out of players and spectators. If you would like to participate in either the women's soccer game or the men's soccer game, please complete the form below or contact Caitlin Sawyer at (516) 742-3434 ext. 310 or via email at sawyerc@waldorfgarden.org to sign up. All players must come prepared with cleats and shin-guards in order to play.
