Claudia earned a bachelor's in English from Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles and a master's in library science from the University of Southern California. For twenty years, she was a law librarian until she discovered Waldorf education when she enrolled her daughter at the Highland Hall Waldorf School. She pursued the Foundation Studies program at the Waldorf Institute of Southern California and eventually graduated from the Waldorf Teacher Education program in Eugene, Oregon. Prior to moving to the east coast, Claudia taught for two years at the Highland Hall Waldorf School and for six years at the Corvallis Waldorf School. While at the Corvallis Waldorf School, she served on the Board of Trustees and various committees.
