Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

Marc Lepson holds a bachelor's in English Literature and Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago. His professional experience includes a number of years teaching art and design to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as younger children. Having learned about Waldorf Education and the underlying philosophy early in his life, Mr. Lepson chose this education for his own children, where they have have thrived. Seeing the value of Waldorf education firsthand caused Mr. Lepson to study anthroposophy and Waldorf teaching methods at Sunbridge Institute. Before coming to Garden City, Marc taught for three years at the Brooklyn Waldorf School where he worked with children in early childhood, lower school and middle school classes.
