Inspiring Faculty, dedicated Staff

The faculty at the Waldorf School of Garden City are models for the kind of people we hope to graduate: bright, relentlessly curious, and cross-culturally fluent. They are committed teachers and scholars - people who want to help you develop personally and intellectually.

We cannot say enough about how profoundly your teachers will affect your life. Because of our size and small classes, you will get to know your teachers as human beings, and in turn, they will get to know you.

Originally from South Africa, Carol first became acquainted with Waldorf education while her youngest child attended a Waldorf Parent Child program. She holds a bachelor's in English and geography from the University of the Witwatersrand as well as a bachelor's and master's of law from the University of South Africa. For seven years, she taught high school English and geography at Mondeor High School in Johannesburg, South Africa before moving on to hold a variety of positions in the legal and corporate fields. However, she began her professional career teaching and, upon graduating from the Foundation Studies Program, is happy to be at the Waldorf School in an educational setting once again.
